What we collect. What you enter in a lookup (the vehicle, VIN, mileage, damage and condition) and the estimates we return. Your email address if you create an account, sign up for updates or buy something. What you bought and when (payments are handled by Stripe, and we never see your card). How you reached our site and which pages you viewed. And technical information our servers record with each request, such as IP address and browser type. We store a sign-in token and a random ID in your browser's storage. We don't use cookies.

How we use it. To run lookups, deliver what you bought, sign you in, send the emails you asked for, limit free use, keep the service secure, and improve our estimates and our site.

Who we share it with. Only service providers that host our site, send our emails, take payments, and help run features such as VIN decoding and bulk uploads. They use it only to provide those services. We don't sell your personal information or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it. Lookups and visit information for 2 years, purchase records for 7 years, server logs for 30 days, and account details until you close your account.

Your choices. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, and you can unsubscribe at any time. Write to info@residualauto.com.

Changes. If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top.
